There is a long story that goes with Just Press Start’s (read: my) love affair with this game. You see, there was this little conference in Boston called PAX EAST, and I was grabbed by one of the developers (Executive Producer: John Comes) and brought to the front of the queue to try out this new game. It was at that moment, that I … I mean Just Press Start fell in love. So much so, that we called it our Game of the Show.

Well, almost 6 months have passed and the game is now available on Xbox Live Arcade for 1200 Microsoft Points (15 USD). Normally, I hate it when I get hyped up for a game, because I’m left disappointed.

Monday Night Combat doesn’t disappoint, because this game was made with 100% PURE AWESOME SAUCE!!!!! Before I get into my full review of the game, a quick summary.

I will take this first sentence to warn that there might be a few light spoilers within the following review. I try to write my reviews without spoilers, but this one I wanted to use examples from the original work of the Divine Comedy, as well as from the game.

So it was Valentine’s Day, and me being single, I thought what would be the best way to pass the time. Should I prepare sushi for that lovely lady friend of mine? NO! Let’s traverse the 9 circles of Hell tearing people apart in the bloodiest fashion possible, AND prepare sushi and bake cookies for that lovely lady friend. I mean why not?

I review Adam Ryland's new game inside!

Eufloria- An ambient RTS title with a unique feel.

I did not know what to expect when I heard about an Indy title called “Dyson” a few weeks back. An RTS where you plant trees to grow seeds to take over asteroids sounded wild, but would it be good? I downloaded the demo, and got hooked. However, would a commercial release stand up as well? The answer is an unqualified “yes.” Eufloria is well worth the price for such a unique and enjoyable experience.
